The Role Of Emotional Intelligence In Managing Job Stress Amongst Nurses
The main aim of this study was to examine the role of emotional intelligence in managing job stress amongst nurses of Tema General Hospital. The specific objectives of the study were to; Asses the emotional intelligence level amongst nurses of Tema General Hospital. Examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and stress among nurses of Tema General Hospital. Examine how stress affects the performance of nurses of Tema General Hospital. The study adopted the descriptive research design specifically a case study method. The target population of this study comprised all nurses of Tema General Hospital. Their total number stood at one hundred and ten (110). According to Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sample size determination table, a population of 110 must have a sample size of 86. Hence the sample size for the study was 86. A combination of convenience sampling and the judgement were adopted for this study. A questionnaire was chosen as the data collection instrument. Statistic
