"Cleaners to Beamers"
Inspired by the classic film, Paid In Full, these scenic pieces show the exterior of Mr. Pip’s Cleaners, where Ace (Wood Harris) worked early in the film, and The Stage, a hotspot in Harlem at the corner of 145th and Frederick Douglass in front of the iconic Willie’s Burger restaurant, was the place where everyone wanted to be. These acrylic paintings represent the lows and highs we experience in life. The Cleaners = humble beginnings and The Stage = success. In the film, Ace always wanted to avoid being on the stage, but as he became more successful, he found himself adapting to the lifestyle. He soon realized that being in the “light” was not all it was cracked up to be. Original Artwork 2 canvases, only sold as a set. Acrylic on 20"x20" Gallery Wrapped Heavy Duty Canvas.
