Of course, the edge is extremely sharp, and the blade is thin at the bit but flares rapidly to enable deep penetration and easy splitting. You can work it with one hand or probably two if you want. The handle flares strongly at the end to enable a very sure grip with minimal exertion. Hold this Hatchet in your hands and you will want to own it. The handle measures 19 inches (48 cm) and the head weighs 3.3 pounds (1.5 kg). The Collar Guard protects the handle in the event of overstrikes. Sheath included.
