Both CapShield and CapShield Plus start working within 30 minutes.  90% effectiveness within the first 4 hours for dogs; 6 hours for cats. Safe for pregnant or nursing dogs or cats. XS Dog - 2-10 lbs | For Puppies and Small dogs Active Ingredients: 11.3 mg of Nitenpyram 45 mg of Lufenuron For dogs weighing more than 10 lbs, use CapShield Plus for Dogs based on the dogs weight. CapShield Plus capsules are recommended for dogs 8 weeks of age or older.  Small Dog - 11-25 lbs | For Puppies and Small dogs Active Ingredients: 11.3 mg of Nitenpyram 90 mg of Lufenuron For dogs weighing more than 25 lbs, use CapShield Plus for Dogs based on the dogs weight. CapShield Plus capsules are recommended for dogs 8 weeks of age or older. Medium Dog - 26-45 lbs | For Medium Dogs Active Ingredients: 56 mg of Nitenpyram 204.9 mg of Lufenuron For dogs weighing more than 45 lbs, use CapShield Plus for Dogs based on the dogs weight.
