Inspiration:"We spent the day showing off New Orleans to out-of-towners. An afternoon ramble around the French Quarter led to a streetcar ride down Saint Charles — a delightful activity that is for some reason reserved for when you’re playing tour guide. We suddenly found ourselves hot and hungry, so we hopped off and found respite in the cool, moody lounge of the Columns Hotel. I sank into a plush sofa, then looked over my shoulder to find an alluring red velvet booth curving around a marble table peeking through a sheer curtain."
