Inspiration:"This piece is part of the Mary Collection, which is meant to depict the three most important Marys in history, not necessarily for religious reasons but to show the power of women together, no matter what labels they’ve been assigned through the ages. With Mary C, I am depicting Mary Clopas. Using simple lines and shading with subtle hues you can see that this Mary is the strong shoulder, the friend and confidant to Mother M and Mary M. Mary C is there to support and be strong in adversity. Her face is veiled in a transparent white sheen because she’s not a main player in the story but still a very important one."
