Inspiration: “Two worlds of wonder inspired this collection: deep space photography and the intricate universe hidden within the flowers themselves. When you look deep into a flower's center - really look - you discover an alien landscape of stamens, anthers, and patterns that rival any nebula photo. I found myself mesmerized by how the chaos of space mirrors the complexity of a flower's heart. In these pieces, I blend both perspectives: the cosmic swirls of distant galaxies with the wild architecture of botanical life.” Medium: I work with porcelain clay, building layers and textures that capture both the delicate nature of flower anatomy and the vast swirls of space. Through multiple glazing layers, I create depth that mimics both stellar clouds and the intricate dance of stamens and pollen. Each flower gets multiple layers of glaze, allowing me to build depth and movement into every petal.
