Origins: Mexico Bloom: A large red inflorescence with purple flowers.  Bloomspike is usually taller than the plant itself Ideal for: Outdoors Light: Strong indirect, filtered, and/or partial sun Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours.  Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary   This is a species that stays pretty small, but has a big beautiful bloom.  For you succulent fans out there, this species looks a lot like certain species of hawarthia.  Known to grow on rocks and occasionally cacti, this is a pretty tough little cookie
