Anasazi Corrugated Pottery Jar - From the Mesa Verde Museum, Ca. 1000 to 1150 CE, #1503 SOLDDescription: #1503 Anasazi Corrugated Pottery Jar - From the Mesa Verde Museum, Ca. 1000 to 1150 CE, Native American, Southwestern United States, Southeast Arizona and Northern Chihuahua region of Mexico, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), Mogollon culture, ca. 1000 to 1150 CE. A hand-built pottery jar of a rounded form with a stable base, a spherical body, and a deep basin surrounded by a flared rim. The exterior surfaces exhibit dozens of petite corrugations that provide the vessel with a richly textured feel. Dimensions: Size: 5.375" W x 4.3" H (13.7 cm x 10.9 cm). Condition Report: Minor nicks to rim and body, with light encrustations within some recessed areas, otherwise intact and very good. Nice earthen deposits throughout.
