This is a great example of the work that James Regimbal is known for. This sculpture is of the 1865 Indian wars era, with the Apache's. The Apache's are on a raid, riding down a trail at a full lope. Their leading out a stolen horse and colt, the front rider is on a taken cavalry mount. Being a two sided composition, the other side depicts a pioneer woman hiding with two children. It would appear they were out away from the home gathering berry's, as small berry baskets are all around them. What a great authentic composition, bringing woman and children into a true war scene. She has hid them well in the under brush as the Apaches go ''Thundering Past".Dimensions: 18 1/2 '' long X 14 1/2'' high X 8'' wideAll orders require 1/3 down.
