In my understanding, this is a good example from Konyak villages at higher elevations than the well known lower Konyak villages, one of the latter was home to the classic Wakching village high value Deomani bead necklace, usually with brass/bronze bars and shell adornments at the clasp. Yiptung, brown green and cobalt glass trade beads with 5 assorted bone bars (2 assorted pairs and 1 at the clasp) and 3 assorted brass bars (1 pair and 1 at clasp), perimeter of blue Padre glass beads and brass bells, and slice shells at clasp. Coin dated 1973 as button-probably restrung with parts at that time.Dimensions: 28". Condition: excellent for its use and age which is the early to mid 19th century. Please note that the designation “Authentic” means that the piece was made by the Nagas and used by them in their actual ceremonies and not made for tourists.Na
