Apron Guinea Fowl Hand Painted Original Art South Africa

Hand Painted in South Africa, this Vintage 100% Cotton Apron is a wearable work of art, and can still be machine washed. The Guinea Fowl/Guinea Hens in the Brush are bordered in black with black apron strings and neck loop. Guinea Fowls appear in much of the traditional South African art. I purchased these aprons from a women's church group in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa during my travels while making Fair Trade purchases.You will also see tablecloths and wall hangings in my shop and will recognize the same distinctive work. The members of the group are Zulu and Ndebele and the use of their vivid color palette are evident in these colorful aprons. They look just as great framed as worn. Due to the black background, it's difficult in these photos to see the black loop to place over your head on this pinafore style apron and the very long ties on each side of this pinafore style apron.
