150 Amp Solenoid 4 Post Side Mount with Curved Base This is a 4-post curved base plastic Trombetta start solenoid. 150 AMP. Intermittent duty. Generally mounts on the side of the electric motor. Insulated for power up/down liftgate model. Grounded.  Start solenoids initiate the energy to start the electric motor for powering the liftgate. The 4-post start solenoids are found on power up/power down lift gates and can provide a more reliable ground.
