French in origin, this 19th century pearl cross was likely crafted circa 1860-1870. This particular example is forged in a classic gothic shape – though there is an elegant daintiness to the construction that creates a distinctly feminine silhouette. Crafted in a lovely 18 carat gold, this cross has beautiful arabesque foliate design that feels almost botanical in nature. Nestled at all four points of the cross – as well as the center – are 5 darling miniature pearls. The pearls juxtapose beautiful against the yellow gold, and their luminescent hue only further elevates the silhouette.
