These prismatic glassy crystals range from incredibly clear to brilliant shades of green and pink, depending on the impurities of that particular specimen. The larger mineral group of Zeolites (which includes Apophyllite, Stilbite, Heulandite, and others) often forms when alkaline groundwater meets pockets of volcanic rocks and ash, creating hotspots of mineral-rich water primed for Zeolite formation.
