This one-of-one painting by Curse Mackey is built inside a cross-shaped wooden frame, with a recessed panel that holds the painted surface. Layers of acrylic, texture mediums, and splattered pigment form a dense, expressive field — reds, blacks, gold, and blue streaks moving through a dark center. The image suggests a captured “ghost of fear,” held still inside the frame, transformed into a protective talisman for whoever keeps it.
