Description Die Cut Label Sheets Selecting a size for your custom label means you are selecting the dimension of the longest or widest part of your label. We'll scale the image to this size. If you would like to customize specific dimensions of your design, please reach out to our customer service team here. With our label sheets, you can get multiple labels on a sheet to easily brand your products and packaging. We print our labels on 8.5" x 11" sheets. Your labels are made from quality vinyl so they stand up to oil, water, food, heat, and refrigeration.   *excluded from discounts* Design Tips FILE SETUP Our team will do all the work to set up your file. However, suppose you are an advanced user and already have Adobe Illustrator. In that case, you are welcome to create the cutlines you want us to use. To do this: 1. Create a layer with your design called "Artwork." 2. Create a second layer and call it "Cut Line." You can then use paths to create the cutline exactly how you would like it. If you want it to follow your design, you can vectorize and then offset the design and convert that path to a stroke. SAFETY MARGIN For designs with a border, you should maintain a margin of at least 0.05" between the cutline and the design. We can also print and cut your stickers with a full bleed; this means the design will go to the edge of the stickers. To accomplish this, we bring the cut line inside your art by approximately 0.03." If you are setting up your design with full bleed, please bring the cut line in by at least 0.03". MINIMUM CUT SIZE For die-cut stickers, we can go as small as 0.75x0.75". If you need something smaller, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. For kiss-cut stickers, we can do 0.5x0.5". FINE DETAIL The finest detail we recommend is 0.5pt line-weight. COLOR Artwork can be supplied in CMYK or RGB; however, we typically recommend RGB because it has a broader color gamut. Our printers use ten ink colors so that we can hit over 98% of Pantone colors, but RGB gives a more accurate print for our setup. IMAGE RESOLUTION We recommend that you submit your images in 300ppi at full size. If your image is low resolution, our team will automatically enhance it. However, very low-resolution images may still come out grainy even after improving. We will contact you if we think there could be an issue. File Format You can submit any file format you like. If you set up your own file, you can save it and upload it as a PDF.  WHITE PRINT By default, we leave white areas of your design transparent. In other words, we do not lay down ink in those areas. Instead, the vinyl material of your choice will show through there. Our printers are capable of printing white ink. If you need white ink printed on your stickers, please reach out for a custom quote. TRANSPARENT STICKER We typically add a layer of white ink under the colored inks for clear stickers to enhance the opacity, making the colors brighter. Note that transparent stickers aren't as bright as white vinyl stickers, even with a layer of white ink, due to the translucent nature of the ink. As a result, transparent stickers may look lighter than on your screen.   More About Custom Labels Sheet labels are a cost-effective way to produce stickers for high-volume use. Our labels come on sheets and are ideal when you plan to label your products by hand. Custom label sticker rolls are great for labeling packages, products, bottles, and more.  SHOULD YOU BUY LABELS OR STICKERS? Although stickers and labels can be used interchangeably in some situations, there are a few key differences to consider. CUSTOM STICKERS Custom stickers are a durable outdoor product that lets your brand travel far and wide and can be applied almost anywhere. Our stickers are laminated, so they are rated to last for 5+ years outdoors. So when your product is going to be displayed or traveling outdoors, you'll want to consider custom stickers for your designs. We typically cut our stickers individually or on sheets so they are easier to hand out and share. CUSTOM LABELS Custom labels are ideal for indoor and temporary uses. They are resistant to water, oils, and scratches, but they don't have the durability of stickers. However, they are easy to organize and store because they come on sheets or rolls. They are also quick and easy to apply to products by hand or a label application machine. Labels are also more economical for large quantities. CONCLUSION What you buy comes down to your needs. We typically recommend labels for products, invitations, envelopes, tags, and similar uses. On the other hand, stickers are often the better choice for handing out at events, sharing your brand, and printing your artwork or designs to be displayed outdoors or for the long term.
