
CLASS AT OTAKON // Ita Bag Sew-A-Long
Location: Otakon 2025 - Walter E. Washington Room 144A - Sewing Room Class Length: 2 hours Join Madison of CUT/SEW as we work together to sew your very own ita bag! This easy sewing class will teach students how to sew curves, pin properly, and work with lightweight vinyl to create a heart-shaped purse with a special protective pocket for all of your pins and charms. Students will leave with a finished tote bag, as well as printed step-by-step instructions to take home for future reference. In this class you'll learn: How to sew basic shapes together How interfacing is used for structure How to clip curved areas for smoother circles How to sew lightweight vinyl How to use ironing to get crisp seams Prerequisite Skills: This is a newbie level course, meaning students should: Be familiar with sewing machines and basic machine stitches Have completed at least one finished garment or sewing project prior to this course About the Instructor: Madison May, the head pattern maker at CUT/
