Morning in the Rose Garden is a wonderful feeling. Nearly alone, to commune with the beauty that surrounds you. Each flower, each color set sends a different energy. Listening for the subtleties is our job. I love the spiral of rose petals. It just draws you in and in and in. The further you go, the more surrounded you are with the energy of a particular rose. And some have the most friendly and inviting energy. This bloom was at the International Rose Test Garden. Somewhere I LOVE to go. Often. I go in the early morning, near sunrise. I am not there to watch the sunrise amongst the beauty and splendor. I am turned the other direction, facing the roses. As the sunrises, through the grove of pine trees, some bushes are standing tall in the bright wonder of new sunlight. I spend most of my time with the other roses. The ones in the shadow of those trees. Most of the roses in the shadows are delicate colored and easily affected by heat and light. So, they often remind me of the gentler s
