Making a difference in the world, one petal at a time. I love my neighborhood. I love my neighbors. Just up the street and kind of set off a little street, a kindly older man has the most amazing dahlia garden. Talking with him, his love of his flowers is evident. He has been caring for them for forty years. And they shine. It is a small forest of plate sized Dahlias. Each pole supports at least 10 blooms and at least two colors. So, it is a wonderland of joy, just off the street waiting to be discovered. Then there are the dahlias themselves. These are very tall Dahlias, verging on huge. Some blooms are too tall for me to capture. But fortunately this forest of Dahlia is also trellised on a slope. So, if I can’t reach it on the its own ground, I can get it on the next row up. There are so many blossoms, how does one blossom stand out over the others. First, have a bloom that is larger than a pie plate. Then have a center that is captivating.
