Julianna Baptism Candles | 17" & 25"

A simply elegant and eye catching Baptism candle for girls.   A rich cream embroidered, European tulle with gold threads is wrapped around the candles, accented by an organdy ribbon bow and rhinestone jewel. This handmade design can be purchased as a set (one 25” lambatha and two 17” candles) or individually in both sizes. In a Greek Baptism, the godparent (“nonos” or “nona”) holds the 25” candle. The 17” candles are small enough to be easily held by children or any other participant going around the font. After the sacrament, the larger candle is lit for three consecutive Sundays when the newly baptized receives Communion. The 25” candle has a 1 ¼” diameter and the 17” candles have a ¾” diameter. Candles burn at the rate of approximately 1” per hour and are smoke and drip resistant. These hand-dipped taper candles are created from a blend of superior-quality paraffin wax with a pure cotton wick for a slow and calm burn.
