Water Buffalo hides have a natural small grain pattern and may have naturally occurring random dark marks - it's how you can tell it is authentic buffalo hide. This belt is to add extra stiffness for any weight with no sag. We purchase our exotic hides from USA tanneries who follow the strict requirements of the Convention of International Treaty of Endangered Species (CITES) permits.
