Ube Malasada - Hawaiian cuisine is a melting pot of local and imported flavors. An adaptation from the Portuguese, Hawaiian malasadas, are yeast-leavened doughnuts enriched with eggs, butter, and often evaporated or fresh milk. After frying, they are rolled in cinnamon sugar. Though a traditional malasada is ungarnished, in the islands they can be found with all manner of filling including coconut flavored haupia pudding or rich purple ube custard. Notes: Fresh fried soft doughnuts filled with creamy purple ube and coconut haupia sprinkled with sugar and the slightest of cinnamon. Ingredients: Alcohol (Denat.), Fragrance (Parfum), Water (Aqua), Vanillin, Benzyl Cinnamate.
