Sword of Severing

Swords have long been used as a powerful symbol. In some symbol sets they are used to represent physical or mental strength, power and protection. In other traditions they are symbolically linked to the penetrative power of the mind or as a symbolic tool used to cut away our delusions. This is one of those projects that I really just made because I wanted one for myself. While 1/4inch plywood doesn't have much cutting power, and they would likely break if you hit them into anything too hard they are still fun to swing around and pose with. These are not durable sparring weapons, they are art objects that look great mounted on the wall or in your hand. The swords are made from layers of intricately laser cut birch plywood stacked and glued together.  Available unpainted, painted one solid color in silver, black or gold, or get a one of a kind uniquely painted sword!
