Zine Making Workshop with Mook Press
Dandy Roll is excited to collaborate with Kyle Cook of Mook Press to bring you the art of zine! This hands-on zine workshop is designed to be entry level, with no previous experience required. Folks will learn the history of zines, how to make create a layout, and simple folding and binding methods to create your own handmade zine. Using magazines, paper, markers, and other readily available materials, you’ll explore how zines can be used for a variety purposes, from art to activism. Over the course of four hours, Kyle will introduce the history of zines—from punk and underground comics to modern independent publishing—followed up by guiding you through designing and assembling your own mini publications.
