Ripley's Reeping Soul

" Long ago, in the coastal town of Ripley’s Hollow, there stood a decrepit church where villagers swore the dead never truly rested. Locals whispered that on stormy nights, a robed figure could be seen wandering the graveyard, collecting souls with a lantern that glowed an unholy green. They called this figure The Reaper of Ripley, a spectral being cursed to gather the spirits of the wicked and trap them for eternity. Centuries later, a curious apothecary unearthed a cracked lantern said to have belonged to the Reaper. When she lit a wick inside it, the air filled with an otherworldly fragrance — a mixture of damp earth, burnt incense, and something sweet yet unsettling, as though the veil between the living and dead had been pierced. The legend says that every Ripleys Reeping Souls candle carries a single trapped whisper from beyond, flickering faintly as it burns. If you stare into the flame long enough, you might hear the faint cries of those collected by the Reaper… or worse, feel
