Those three years have been tumultuous ones; in which the band battled personal demons driven by the loss of loved ones and broken relationships. Yet the band remained resolute throughout which is reflected in the innocent charm, and upbeat nature, of these 10 new songs. Arthur and Martha are Adam Cresswell and Alice Hubley. Cresswell was founding member of UK folkatronic pop band and John Peel favourites, Saloon who were on Darla until their unexpected break up in 2003. Hubley, despite her years, is also a stalwart of the UK indie scene as a member of kraut-rockers The Exteriors and shouty girl pop band The Duloks.
