Lemon Pickling Cucumber produces small, rounded, pale yellow cucumbers. This versatile cucumber is sweet and flavorful, and doesn't have much of the chemical that makes other cucumbers bitter and hard to digest. Lemon Cucumber is often served raw, but it is also a good pickling cucumber. Specialty market salad item. Pick at 1 and 1/2 to 2 and 1/2 inch diameter. NOTE: Very late to begin bearing. Harvest in about 62 days. Germination rate about 70% or better. These plants are monoecious cucumbers which require bees, insects or wind to pollinate the female flowers so that they can turn into cucumbers. Wind will blow the pollen from male to female flowers.
