Zinnia Season

Zinnia Season is part of our Flower of the Week series, which allows me to choose a flower for the week and paint it in multiple compositions, sizes and color ways.  Zinnia Season was painted at the height of the real-life zinnia season here in Kansas, and our cutting garden is bursting with zinnias outside, as I type this!   Zinnias have been a favorite flower for a long time now, because they're just SUCH good growers and really, any flower that blooms more, the more you cut it, is a fabulous flower in my book!!  Zinnias are a joy to grow, a joy to share in bouquets with others, and they're a joy to paint as well!   I hope Zinnia Season will bring joy to your space and brighten your days all year long!
