Zinnia Silhouette: Linen

The Zinnia Silhouette Collection really happened a bit by accident, because as I was starting to paint a collection of colorful zinnia paintings, my Instagram followers kept mentioning how much they loved the initial painted sketches on the canvases before I started layering on the color! I got to thinking about how I would paint the pieces if the sketch WAS the painting, what things I might do differently or what details I might add and that is how the Zinnia Silhouettes were born!  I've loved dreaming up the various color combinations and the painting of each one has been a joy! The linen version features a linen color....a sort of tan background with grays and blacks for the flowers.  This one is for the neutral lover who loves the form of the zinnia flower but prefers not a lot of color!
