Yanagisawa A-990 Alto Saxophone, Excellent Condition, Just Serviced

Yanagisawa A-990 alto saxophone, s/n 184035. This horn is in excellent original condition. My repairman just went through it before listing, replaced one pad, and regulated the rest. Everything is sealing well and it plays great from top to bottom. The A-990 was Yanagisawa’s top professional alto in the 1990s and the model that came right before the A-991. It has a lot of the same qualities people like in the later horns—smooth keywork, even intonation, and a really solid, reliable feel. Compared with earlier Yanagisawas, it feels a little more focused and centered, but still has that warm, flexible tone the brand is known for. The 990s are fantastic horns.
