Pocket Fishrmen- Greatest Story Ever Told LP.  Pocket Fishrmen are from Austin and disbanded in 2000 following a colorful 14-year run. How colorful? The band’s 1988 debut 45 was entitled “Amy Carter” a song written about Jimmy Carter’s daughter which put the Pocket Fishermen on the Secret Service’s radar back in the late 80’s. Over the years they’ve penned such sensitive, satircal numbers like “Go Go Saddam Hussein,” “One Blowjob, One Handjob, One Vagina,” “Pot Mountain,” “Priapus Power,” “Flaccid is the Night,” and “Gay Jew Conquistador”, not to mention many songs about your dick. Yeah, the pre-millennial era was a different time and a different place in terms of how we viewed satire, provocation and political correctness within the punk rock world. ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’ is a career overview re-viewed via re-recordings of classic fan and band faves.
