Fronted by Canadian female singer/ guitarist Julie Sauriol, formerly of Les Envahisseurs,The Jukeez songs are a schizophrenic mix of of garage punk, big beat, punkabilly and surf/exotica with her very special voice shining high atop the mix. The Jukeez reminds me alot of the 5.6.7.8.’s from Japan in that they cover alot of territory on this album, but each song falls firmly under the rock ‘n roll umbrella with each song being pretty upbeat, energetic and most of all fun.
