White Whale– No Solace 7”. Rather promising punk rock from out of nowhere. Two songs worth of tempo-shifting mature-ish punkitude, sort of in an Hot Snakes/ Rocket From The Crypt vein, utilizing the Speedo vocal treatment, proficient bass playing and trebly guitar, the tunes whizz by in a nice medium-fi production. Fuzzed-out garage punk played with hardcore intensity! Cool obi strip to hold it all together and screen printed covers. Awesome packaging for a single.
