The Veditz Foundation is to honor George Veditz, one of early Deaf activists, who advocate for American Sign Language. He wrote many letters to government officials, leaders, teachers urging them to sign with their Deaf peers, especially Deaf children in schools. Veditz was also former National Association of the Deaf president. He was also known for preserving and capturing sign language on the video in 1913.
