Wonder
Do you ever “wonder” about things? I always do and I always begin a question with “I wonder...?” My husband gets tired of hearing me say “I wonder” and he suggested I make a piece all about “wonder.” So here it is! With a reclaimed canvas as its base, it is painted in shades of aqua blue and meadow green and has surprising details in every corner. The centerpiece is a large heart made from recycled cardboard and covered in paper collage created from old magazines and catalogs. This heart is full of wonder and is embellished with a variety of intriguing found objects such as wire, washers, metal, nails and broken coat hanger pieces. In each corner of the piece you will find a small assemblage of Found Objects that have been transformed into unique shapes of question marks. Their rusted patinas are a textured contrast to the aqua blue and green colors. It’s an exciting relationship between industry and art. The piece is framed in a variety of broken twigs in different shapes and sizes a
