This work by the famous Venetian painter of urban landscapes, was commissioned by J¨®zef Ossoli¨½ski. The deputation of Jerzy Ossoli¨½ski, who is shown in the centre of the foreground, was sent by the Polish king W?adys?aw IV Vasa. The painting shows the artist¡¯s vision of the triumphant historic entry of Ossoli¨½ski to Rome in 1633 as the Emissary to the court of Pope Urban VIII.
