Wolfburn Northland Single Malt Scotch 700ml

From the Northern most distillery on the mainland, utilizing used casks from Laphroaig, this under-the-radar Single Malt is a beautiful entry level example of peat. American Oak quarter casks give initial sweet aromas of fruit and fresh sea air followed by citrus-y cereal and just a trace of peat smoke. A sweet, nutty palate also holds hints of grapes and honey in the background. The finish gradually fades away into satisfaction.
