Satsuma Teacup and Saucer

This is a lovely set for a collector of Satsuma ware. Based on the style of decoration, it was produced during the late Meiji period or the Taisho period. It is beautifully decorated with a gold background and very thinly potted. The inside of the cup is inscribed with calligraphy. There is a mark on the base. The diameter of the saucer is approximately 3.75 inches and the cup is approximately 2.25 inches. The set is in excellent condition.
