Think floral, herbal, and fresh — not sharp, not sour, and definitely not your average lime. This syrup is all about balance. A small splash goes a long way, adding lift and clarity without overpowering what’s already in your cup. It’s refreshing, a little unexpected, and incredibly versatile. In the café, this syrup really shines with matcha. Makrut lime pairs beautifully with high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha because it does the opposite of sugar: instead of flattening flavors, it opens them up. The citrus aroma brightens matcha’s natural umami, while the syrup’s subtle sweetness softens the edges. We especially love it with our Ryoko Samidori Matcha — our most rare offering.
