Early Walter Lamb Bronze & Canvas Rocking Chair

The late 1940s or early 1950s Walter Lamb rocking chair predating his partnership with Brown Jordan. The chair has a frame in thick tubular bronze. Two runners with bowed rear edges form the rocking frame, which terminates on either side of the backrest. The canvas seat and backrest are laced tightly to the frame with sailcord. Dimensions 22” width x 33.5” depth x 32.5” height; 17" seat height, 23.75" arm height   Condition Excellent vintage condition; bronze has been cleaned and carries an age-appropriate patina. Canvas and rope ties replaced in the last 10 years in accordance to the original design.
