In 1945, a ready to use colloidal oatmeal, (produced by finely grinding the rolled oat and boiling it to extract the colloidal material) became available.  Since the 1940's oatmeal soap has been a hit with consumers worldwide. Our vegetable-based oat bar soap provides gentle cleansing and exfoliation and is great for folks with easily irritated skin or redness. Pyrithione zinc has been added to aid problem skin. Oats have natural soothing and anti-inflammatory properties and act as a gentle exfoliant, helping to remove dead skin cells.
