It is often cited as the most Radiant of crystals found anywhere. Another name, Salrose, refers to all the great pink stones coming out of The Republic of the Congo. The Congo IS the ultimate locale for high quality Cobaltoan Dolomite worldwide, and Congo Cobaltoan Dolomite IS the pinkest, most lustrous of stones I have seen. Cobaltoan may vary in hue. This piece is more magenta. The druzy layer of fine crystallization thinly coats the flattened face of the host rock.  This Cobaltoan has uncommonly fine sparkle, glimmer, luster, and glitter.
