Oh my little Ilya Rozanov. He puts on an act, like everything’s a joke, like "it's really not that deep". He's loud, charming, and more than a little dramatic. But you can always feel there’s more going on under the surface. The humor, the confidence, the way he unapologetically takes up space… it’s all part of how he protects himself. Building up that wall to keep everyone out while he deals with his larger than life feelings. As the story goes on you see the softer, "Baby Girl Ilya" moments. The loyalty for his family and friends. The way he feels things so deeply even when he doesn’t know what to do with it. His angst over Hollander moving on- WITH A GIRL?!? The club scene? Iconic.  His crash out in Russian- UGH I don't have the words.  Watching him slowly let someone in, sharing his heart piece by piece, is what makes his story hurt my soul in the best way. He's a true "But Daddy I Can Save Him" MMC. He is that girl. For the love of two of my favorite characters who are complicated
