Mesquite Cough Syrup

Made from a base of locally harvested velvet mesquite pods, simmered into a thick demulcent syrup which is then further infused with our herbal formula before adding wildflower honey. This DTB original remedy is used to relieve a variety of coughs and provides a soothing effect due to the properties of mesquite bean and honey.  The syrup does contain a relatively small amount of alcohol (less than 3% by volume), but is best stored in the refrigerator for long-term preservation (eg. over 6 months). Ingredients: velvet mesquite pods, wildflower honey, filtered water, holy basil (Ocimum sanctum), pine needle (Pinus monophylla), gumweed (Grindelia squarrosa), licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), mullein leaf (Verbascum thapsus), loquat leaf (Eriobotrya japonica), chokecherry bark (Prunus species), Lobelia (Lobelia anatina)
