Basics of Photography: Light, Framing, Composition with Noah Gocial Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025 Time:  1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Location: Washington Printmakers Gallery,                1675 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest Washington, DC 20007  Course Description: This 3-hour workshop will demonstrate the keys of taking a photo. Whether using iPhone or a physical camera, you will leave with knowledge about how to take a beautifully lit, perfectly framed, and well put together photo. We will begin by reviewing what a photo is and how to understand it through different cultures and means. This will be a conversational style introduction to photography at large. After, we will review the dimensions of light and how they interact. This will primarily be my understanding of each aspect rather than a textbook; in other words, how to take a photo in "common" understanding rather than an "academic" or "by the book." Then we will discuss framing, different angles, and how to make a photo appear
