Starting from the basics, this class will help students develop their technical drawing abilities and develop their understanding of the human form through a combination of long pose portrait drawing sessions with live models and in-depth anatomy studies with medical reference skulls. While the focus of this class will be developing a structural understanding of the portrait, students throughout the class will also be introduced to various contemporary artists who use portraiture in expressive and inspiring
