Flint Faience Custom Handmade Relief Tile Medieval Theme

This would look lovely displayed on a table easel and would provide for a great art pottery history conversation. This extremely rare, strikingly beautiful 12” square decorative tile with a medieval theme is in its original period frame and was custom made by the historical Flint Faience Tile Company in Flint, Michigan some time during their years of operation between 1922 and 1931. The combination of the elaborate border and detailed central scene created with some relief makes this beauty a rare one with polychrome matte glazes. It is a fine, rare example of American art pottery tile heritage and is a true treasure for the serious art pottery tile collector. The Flint Faience Tile Company is a unique part of Flint's past and is linked to the early years of the Flint Institute of Arts.
