It is our pleasure to publish Franziska Oertle’s pioneering and wonderful work: THE HEART OF TIBETAN LANGUAGE, first published by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA) in 2019. Few people can make a difficult subject easy. Yet Franziska has, through both her great love of the Tibetan Language and culture, and of teaching, made learning Tibetan both a joy and an inspired journey. Through her meticulous research and years of teaching around the world, countless students have gone from zero to mastering the Tibetan language. Appreciating the profound and subtle aspects of the language, Franziska has generously provided a multitude of ways to learn.
