It is a synopsis of the complete spiritual path from delusion, to emptiness, to achievement of supreme enlightenment. These texts are meant to be supports for practice, and the points within them are many to be attained, not merely understood. It states that, "form is emptiness, and emptiness is form." In emptiness you will find true enlightenment and nirvana. The Sanskrit title of the Heart Sutra translates to, "The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom." Its teachings rely on the perfection of wisdom - the wisdom that allows you to perceive reality directly and without conceptual attachments, thereby achieving enlightenment.
